Graded Tea

The selection was made by the Department of Agriculture, Food and Agriculture, the Tea Improvement Organization, the CAS Association, and the Tea Manufacturers' Association, which selected 18 five-star tea factories out of 474 tea factories in Taiwan. The purpose of the award is to provide guidance to local tea factories in establishing self-management mechanisms to ensure the safety of tea leaves from planting to processing.
At a time when food safety is a major concern, the Council of Agriculture (COA) certifies the hygiene and quality of tea factories through a one-to-five star rating system, allowing consumers to enjoy delicious tea beverages with peace of mind while promoting the excellent image of Taiwan's tea in the international market.

Tea King Talks About Planting

Chen Xi-Qing watched his father grow tea when he was a child. The bitter Assam black tea was not favored at that time, so he went around to learn from masters and switched to oolong tea in the pure land of Taitung. Against the backdrop of Taiwan's booming economy at the time, Chen Xi-Qing successfully inherited and developed his father's tea, transforming the experience of the older generation into theory, and combining it with Taitung's unique natural environment to successfully grow excellent tea.

Natural Agriculture

Yoon Fong Tea Plantation treats the land of the tea plantation in a natural way, using organic fertilizers and manual weeding to treat the tea plantation with great care.
By returning to nature and replacing the soil that is more suitable for tea growth, not only do we cultivate the prerequisites for excellent tea growing, but we also demand precision in the process of tea making, constantly trying, failing and challenging again, and finally mastering the time and duration of drying, wilting, kneading and baking to complement the environmental factors.

The selection was made by the Department of Agriculture and Foodstuffs of the Council of Agriculture, the Tea Leaf Improvement Farm, the CAS Association and the Tea Manufacturers Association from among 474 tea factories in Taiwan, with the main purpose of counseling local tea factories to establish an independent management mechanism for the production and processing of tea, and to implement the production of safe and high-quality tea and a hygienic processing environment.
Not only are there star ratings for hotels, but also for tea factories. The Council of Agriculture evaluated Taiwan's 474 tea factories from the cultivation of tea leaves to the production process, and selected 18 five-star tea factories to ensure that Taiwan's tea products are safe and hygienic. At a time when food safety issues are emerging and the public has little confidence in food safety, the Council of Agriculture awards one to five stars based on the hygiene and safety conditions of the tea factories to ensure that the tea leaves from cultivation to the end of the processing are in line with the requirements, in the hope of shaping a good image of Taiwan's tea products.
